Established in 1999, Rupak Engineering is an industrial fabrication and contracting company based in Viralimalai, Tamil Nadu — specialising in boiler components, structural steel and precision fabrication for PSU and industrial clients.
From a Viralimalai workshop to a registered PSU vendor.
Rupak Engineering was established in December 1999 as a steel fabrication contractor specialising in the machining and fabrication of boiler components and general fabrication. From the outset, the unit was built around a simple principle: consistent quality, delivered on time, backed by qualified people.
That discipline earned the unit its place as an approved sub-contractor to BHEL Trichy for manufacturing boiler components — a qualification that reflects documented process capability, not just commercial relationships. We have since expanded our scope to serve NLC India and other industrial clients across the region.
Today, Rupak Engineering handles heavy and structural fabrication, alloy and stainless steel work, mechanical contracting and site execution — all from our workshop in Viralimalai, within reach of the Trichy–Madurai industrial corridor.

P.A. Ashok Kumar, Proprietor of Rupak Engineering, is a Mechanical Engineer who graduated from NIT Trichy. He brings over 30 years of hands-on experience from leading engineering organisations including Royal Enfield and the Sanmar Group, where he held senior positions in production and planning.
That background shapes how Rupak Engineering is run: production-focused, schedule-conscious, and quality-driven at every stage. The managing team maintains an environment where all team members continuously develop their skills and uphold the highest level of proficiency in their respective areas.
Safety
No fabrication or site activity proceeds without the required PPE and permit-to-work clearance. Safety is a condition of the job, not a checklist after it.
Quality
Work is measured against the drawing, not against opinion. Dimensional and weld inspection happen before a component is called finished.
Reliability
Schedules are committed to and tracked. If a constraint changes, the client hears about it early, not at the delivery date.
Technical Capability
Welders are qualified to the procedure the job calls for, and fabrication is planned by people who can read a GA drawing, not just a sketch.

Our workshop occupies a 6,000 sq ft covered shed on 1.39 acres of land in Viralimalai's industrial area, Pudukkottai District, Tamil Nadu. The site sits directly on the Trichy–Madurai Bypass Road, giving us fast access to the power, mining and manufacturing facilities we serve across the region.
The facility operates at 70 HP connected load with a 125 KVA standby generator ensuring uninterrupted production. A workforce of 20–30 skilled and semi-skilled personnel — supported by three contractors — handles fabrication, machining and site execution work.
